Welcome Back Boo,
I trust you are well.
I’m back with more home DIY! Your home is the place where you can let loose, throw on some dirty pajamas and eat ice cream straight out of the carton. Because of this, you’re going to want to take care of it, not to mention the amount of money you’ve already spent on the roof over your head! There’s no point letting all of this investment go to waste, and even just a quick clean up can seriously improve the health and happiness of your household. So here are some ways you can do this!
Sure, you can easily get to work on something heavy duty, flexing your muscles with your DIY skills. But a home renovation can cost a lot of money, and in this economy that’s in short supply from time to time…so let’s focus on the smaller things at the moment, so you can relax in the knowledge you’re still going to be financially stable by the end of your efforts.
We’ve all seen a wall like this in our lifetime, don’t let your house walls turn out the same! (Source)
Get a Wall Stencil
Decorating your walls with something other than wallpaper usually leads to a feature wall, but you don’t have to go to all that effort just to make the space behind the couch seem a little less negative. Instead, find yourself a wall stencil you like, and then paint or draw it up on the wall to personalise your space in a way that’ll make you smile whenever you look at it. You’re going to need a good canvas to work with though.
So sand your walls down, replaster any holes if you have them, and then give the wall a fresh lick of paint. It’ll help the wall be a lot more stable, as well as look a lot better to the naked eye. And then pop your stencil on top, simple as! It can be a quote you like, something pretty like a flower or a mandala, or even a pop art print your parents would call too ‘loud’ to be in the living room. But it’s your home, so do what you want!
Throw Some Stuff Away!
Just get rid of it already! If you can’t even walk up the stairs because of the amount of rubbish that’s littering each step, something needs to change! Either throw out everything that’s cluttering your way through your house or donate it to a better cause; it deserves better than being left on the floor for months on end.
Stop dirt and dust collecting in your house a lot better this way, which can make the air a lot better to breathe. But if you’re feeling very sentimental about the cat statue you made back in school, you can also head to Squab storage to make sure you can still keep it, but just somewhere else that won’t interrupt your life.
Welp that’s it guys! Your home deserves a little more tender loving care from you, and you deserve a good and clean space to live in. Get started with these tips.
Remember to keep on slaying,
See you next time xoxo
