Welcome Back Boo!

Here are five cheap tips for transforming your home. So let’s get straight into it.

Reassess What You’ve Got

Before doing anything else, it’s important to take a look around your home and consider the furniture you already have and where it’s placed. Sometimes, simply moving a few pieces around will give rooms a fresh look. If any of your rooms are particularly cluttered, then drop a few unwanted belongings off to a charity shop or sell them online to give you a bit more space. This is completely free, and could actually make you some money.

Paint Your Walls

One of the easiest ways to give your home a facelift is to paint the walls a new colour. This is relatively quick and simple and is one of the most inexpensive ways to totally transform a room. You could paint each of the rooms a different colour or could come up with a colour scheme so that your entire home matches. Either way, it’s sure to look stylish and completely different.

Choose Lighting Wisely

As any interior design company can tell you, lighting has the power to make or break a room. You might be trying to make your home look cosy, but a few misplaced light sources can instead make it look dark and dingy. On the other hand, you could be trying to make your home look bright and airy, and instead make it look cold and clinical. Try experimenting with your lighting until you get it just right.

Update Soft Furnishings

You might not have the money to get a new couch or bed, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t transform your home. Instead, consider the smaller and cheaper furnishings, like blankets and pillows. A throw and a few new cushions can really brighten up your living room and draw eyes away from your old sofa. You may also want to think about buying new curtains or blinds to brighten up your windows.

Consider Second Hand

If you really need new furniture, like a table or sofa, but can’t afford to buy them brand new, then don’t. These days, it’s easier than ever to find good-quality second-hand furniture, so before you give up home, head to your nearest charity shop, and look online at websites like eBay, Shpock, and Facebook’s Marketplace. You’ll be surprised at how many hidden treasures you can find.

Welp! Those are some great tips for decorating your home on a budget! If your home is in need of a makeover, then don’t let lack of funds hold you back. There are plenty of ways to transform your home on a budget, so consider these tips when you start decorating.

Remember to keep on slaying,

See you next time xoxo
