Welcome Back Boo,
Closing the week with a fun light-hearted post!
You don’t need to be a celebrity to know how to pull off a great smile when the camera comes out. If you struggle to look good in photos however then there are things that you can do to turn the whole thing around. The days of avoiding the camera are long-gone, and now you can have that confident selfie-smile way easier and faster than ever before. So, without further ado, Let’s do it!
Don’t Be Afraid to Look Natural
When the time does come for the picture to be taken, try and smile gently. When you do smile gently, your mouth will open ever so slightly and the lower lip will match the curve of your teeth as well. When you do a quick smile, that makes your eyes squint and it also makes the muscles in your neck tense up as well. This makes for a very awkward photo and it can also make you look odd as well. Avoiding this is very easy, and you’d be surprised at how easy it is for you to really look great in those photos. If you are not happy with your teeth then there are plenty of ways you could improve your oral health and when you do this, you can also gain a ton of confidence at the same time.
If your smile makes it look as though you have a double chin then you need to watch the way that you stand. If you slouch then your head is bent way more forward than you’d like to think and this can really lead to you having a double chin as well. To avoid this, turn your head and then drop your chin. This will make it look like your face isn’t square with the camera and this is a great way for you to really stand out when the camera comes out. If it’s summer then don’t be afraid to take some photos outside, as this will really help you to take the initial focus away from yourself.
When you wear makeup, you need to think about how it compliments your skin tone. When you have the right shade of lipstick this can make your teeth look way whiter and it can also make you look way prettier as well. Knowing what suits you is crucial when it comes to selfies!
Accessorising is very important when you are taking a photo. When you do take a photo, you need to make sure that you are wearing jewellery that suits you and you also need to make sure that you wear necklaces that accent your neckline as well. It’s little things like this that can make all the difference to your photo and it is a great way for you to really make the most out of that perfect selfie-moment.
Welp, there you go! Looking great in a photo has never been easier and you would be surprised to see how much of a difference a little change can make! Selfies are just like any other photograph so remember, the same rules regarding lighting and contrast do apply.
Remember to keep on slaying,
See you next time xoxo
