Welcome Back Boo!
Who else is happy it’s the weekend?!
Home design is something a lot of people take seriously, and we have done for hundreds and hundreds of years. And that means it’s something a homeowner is never likely to take lightly, and spend a lot of time mulling over before even painting the walls a certain colour! Yet, are you really surrounded by the style you want? And do you have the luxurious results you always aimed for when thinking about what to put on the feature wall?
It’s OK to spend a bit of money on investments you know are going to last you a long time, and when it comes to the roof over your head, you literally cannot afford to cut corners. On the other hand, when it comes to designer house renovations, there’s a lot you can do with some saved up pennies and a bit of creative freedom! Either way, a little luxury in your home is worth the time, money, and effort you put into it, and here’s a few ways you can get it.
Get Some Advice
Start off with some research. If you’re a first time home owner, or you’ve finally moved into a place where slapping some paint around and knocking out a wall isn’t too much, find out the styles and themes that are popular on the market. They have the most stock out there for you to buy up and use to your heart’s content in your interior renovation, as well as the most amount of advice on how to employ them.
Don’t worry if you’re a complete beginner who doesn’t have the confidence either. You can also use the services of experts such as Guy Phoenix here, as luxury interior design can be hard to pull off even when you’ve bought the metallic colours you thought would look great framing your pot plant.
Use Faux Products
When we think luxury, we think of fluffy and furry blankets and throws littering a room, helping it to look like it stepped straight out of a millionaire’s pocket. However, these very real products aren’t exactly budget items, as well as unethical for quite a few people out there. And yet, the aesthetic is still something we chase after, so don’t stop yourself! Chase after the faux to make a bedroom look a little more expensive.
Clutter Your Bookshelf
But artfully, and not with dust and books you know you’re never going to read. That’s just a waste of space after all! A well placed plant or pebble plate works here, as well as a small clock or something made of brass; if it looks like it’s from the 19th century, but polished, then you’re well on your way to success. You can save a lot of money by heading to charity shops first of all, and getting some semi precious stones to lay around.
Welp! That’s it folks! Designing your house to look more expensive is a bit of an artstyle, so know your styles and your themes before you get to work!
Remember to keep on slaying,
See you next time xoxo
