Welcome Back Boo,
While what you wear is a great way to express your personality, how you choose to decorate your home will also have a lot to say. Perhaps that’s why so many people get caught up in the whole interior design-frenzy – particularly if they’re already into fashion.

The kitchen is, as we all know, the heart of the home, and the best room for expressing your personality. It’s where we cook, eat, and gather every day with the rest of the household, and there is so much you can do with the kitchen to make it a fashion statement.
Here is a handful of ways to keeping your kitchen as fashionable as possible, so that it will be even more tempting to cook up a meal with your friends and family.
Splurge on the backsplash
Kitchen upgrades can be quite expensive but you’ll still be able to throw in a fashion statement or two that actually looks awesome and doesn’t break the bank. The backsplash used to be a commonly overlooked piece of the kitchen, but it’s starting to take over kitchens all over the world.
The great thing about focusing on the backsplash is that you can get the exact kind of look you’re after without having to re-tile the entire room. What about a Moroccan-inspired tiling or something to go with your countryside kitchen? You can even tile it yourself and save the money on hiring someone to do it for you.
Try to splurge on these small parts of your kitchen, and save the money by fixing your appliances rather than buying brand new ones. A lot of people recommend this company for fridge repairs, for example, so that you don’t have to blow your budget.
Look to the light
An entire room can be lifted if you just spend a bit of time considering its lighting. If you have the option of installing dimmers, you should totally do this – that way, you’ll get a soft and warm look during the evening and a brighter look for those dark winter mornings when you need the extra light.
Try to think about the light fixtures as well. This is a great way to implement a bit of design in your kitchen, and you can spend as much or as little money on it as you please. The key is to make it go with the rest of your kitchen, of course, or even to build the rest of your kitchen around the look of your light fixture.
What about a larger brass fixture to give the kitchen a more industrial look? Or something more romantic such as these chandeliers for your countryside kitchen – you have a lot of options, and it will certainly take your home to new heights.
By repairing appliances and taking proper care of them while you can, you’ll be able to upgrade your kitchen and make it look awesome while still meeting those saving goals. Kitchen fashion doesn’t have to be that expensive, after all, it just needs to look good.
Remember to keep on slaying,
See you next time xoxo
